TurboPhone’s founder Gabe Castillo, understands what it takes to be successful in technology and marketing.
Gabe earned degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Business Administration from San Jose State University in the heart of the Silicon Valley. While in college, Gabe was active in Student Government, and President of SJSU’s chapter of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers.
Following graduation, he worked for IBM as an Engineer, Manufacturing Manager, on International Staff and in Marketing. His responsibilities included component manufacturing in the United States, Germany and Japan for high performance commercial disk drives. In addition, he was responsible for Federal Military and Government customers including EDS and GTE Data Services. Gabe won numerous awards and recognition for his performance in both manufacturing and in marketing.
While working at IBM, Gabe attended Law School at Santa Clara University and later at the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific. Transitioning into the financial business, Gabe became a Unit Manager, then Division Manager with Physicians Mutual Insurance Company. He later joined World Marketing Alliance/World Financial Group as a Marketing Director where he was recognized for his success in building a strong agency organization. He then founded Equity Advantage Financial Services, a successful financial company, providing Lending, Investment and Insurance Services. In 2004, Gabe was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the State of California.
In addition to his educational background, Gabe’s credentials include registration as an Investment Advisor, and licensing in Securities, Real Estate and Insurance. Gabe and his family live in Carmichael, California where he is actively involved in his Church and the community.
